"I retired after 30+ years in public education, the last 7 in MISD. I used to live and work in a district that experienced faster growth than what MISD is experiencing. I also understand how school financing works, as well as the legal roles of the Legislature, TEA, SBOE, and local school boards in the field of education. I want to help MISD continue their high academic standards and educate all students who live within its boundaries. This bond election is critical in order to for MISD to do just that."

"As a parent and someone who truly loves this community, my “why” is simple, it’s our kids.
I have three children who will grow up in this district. I care deeply about making sure that not only they have the opportunities they deserve, but that every child now, and in the years to come has access to safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environments.
One of the things that makes Magnolia so special is that small-community feel.
It’s the fact that our kids are known by name, our leaders are visible on campuses. You’ll see board members and even the superintendent walking the halls and knowing the names of our kids. Students are never just a number!
That kind of connection matters.
Passing this bond isn’t just about buildings it’s about protecting what makes this district special while preparing for the growth we know is coming.
It allows us to be proactive instead of reactive ensuring future students can still experience:
- Smaller class environments
- Personal connection
- Strong community culture
- Equity in opportunities for all students
This is my why.
I’m advocating because I want today’s students and tomorrow’s students to have the same sense of belonging, visibility, and opportunity that makes MISD feel like home.
Parents and the community we MUST show up to the polls… our students and district needs to continue to be proactive and not reactive."

"My family truly lives and breathes Magnolia ISD. We picked up our whole life and relocated here three years ago to build our future in this community.
As an educator, mom of two boys in Magnolia ISD, and a coach’s wife, our lives are centered around the students and families we serve. It’s busy and full; but it’s what we love most. To me, teaching has always been about more than academics; it’s about relationships, support, and making sure every child feels seen, safe, and valued.
At the end of the day, this bond is about our children. When conversations get caught up in adult priorities, we can lose sight of who is most impacted: our students. They deserve strong schools, supportive environments, and every opportunity to thrive.
We are proud to be part of Magnolia ISD and want to continue building a community where families feel supported and kids can truly succeed."

Hi! I’m Jamie Kimberling: new to MISD & honored to serve this community through the efforts of Building Magnolia’s Future PAC.
We are recent transplants from the Dallas Ft Worth area and we were drawn to the area due to the beauty of the country, family values, and the impeccable reputation of the school system.
Having spent 13 years in the public education sector, first as a classroom teacher and later in education technology, I personally know the importance of quality education in each child’s life. Teaching is more than a job: it is having a direct influence on the trajectory of a child’s life. What a blessed and honored calling.
As a mom of two boys both in MISD, I want them to flourish and feel safe and seen daily. Furthermore, I want to advocate for EVERY child- as I see each and every one as gifts to our community and our future. One way this happens is through supporting the immense growth this city is experiencing and ensuring we are prepared. We want to protect our community as a coveted place to live and thrive and continue to remain proud to call this place home.
Thank you for joining me in helping to make our future BRIGHT!

"Hi! My name is Rachael Ervin. I am a Louisiana-born, Port Aransas, TX raised, Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2009, and I am honored to serve as Co-Chair of the Political Action Committee Building Magnolia’s Future.
I was part of the Facilities Planning Committee in Spring 2025, where over the course of the semester we learned about school finances, reviewed the demographer reports and talked about district growth, and were informed about the current status of existing facilities and buses. After much consideration, we voted on which priority items would be presented to the MISD School Board and ask them to call for an election. We then formed this PAC to help spread the word.
My husband and I have 3 boys, ages 3, 8, and 10. I taught junior high math and science for 9 years, and now serve on the PTO at my son’s school, volunteer with MEF, and substitute teach when I can. Most evenings are spent taking kids to sporting events and practices, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am passionate about education. Being both a teacher and a parent has given me the chance to see the bigger picture of education. It truly takes a village for children to be successful. In recent years, schools have received misplaced blame for things out of their control, and I am hoping to help our schools become the heart of our community. I am so thankful for our teachers, staff, and administrators in Magnolia ISD!
This committee and this election are important to me because I believe in doing right by our schools. Learning happens when students feel safe, seen, and valued. Schools are so much more than walls and roofs and classrooms. As a parent, I hope that my children get to attend schools that are safe, where they have the opportunity to learn, and the opportunity to find their passions. This bond is a step in the right direction."

I love this house. Almost every precious memory of my children has happened in this home. This home has seen 15 HOCO's, 3 Proms, 12 cheer tryouts, numerous band competitions, too many FNL's to count, and 3 graduations! We purchased this property because we fell in love with Magnolia Independent School District. We loved how the elementary schools were small, the intermediate and junior highs were only 2 grade levels, and the high schools were large enough to offer my children every opportunity for success. We proudly display this sign on our fence. Our house would not be a home without the memories we've made in MagnoliaISD!

"MISD means my kids are more than just a number. As a graduate of Cy-Fair ISD (which has over 100,000 students), I love our small school district. I love running into my kids’ teachers at H-E-B or at restaurants. I know a few of my kids’ teachers personally. They reach out when my kids are acting weird at school or having a hard time with something. It’s easy to look at all the new growth in our area and think we’re getting “too big”, but coming from a school district that MISD will never be the size of, I can embrace the growth with the comfort of knowing MISD will always feel like a community."

This one is personal for our family.
Macey has been in Magnolia ISD schools her entire life, and we can honestly say we have loved every step of the journey. The teachers, the leadership, the opportunities…this district has poured so much into her, and we are incredibly grateful.
And John…he’s only worked in two school districts his entire career. While he didn’t start in Magnolia ISD, he got here as fast as he could—and that should tell you everything you need to know. This is a district people believe in. This is a district worth being part of.
So what are we voting for?
This 2026 bond is about taking care of what matters most right now:
✔️ Building new schools to keep up with growth
✔️ Improving safety and security
✔️ Updating and maintaining current campuses
✔️ Providing transportation and planning for the future
It’s not about extras. It’s about doing right by our kids, our teachers, and our community.
Magnolia ISD is growing quickly, and this plan ensures we don’t fall behind. It ensures our students continue to learn in environments that are safe, supported, and set up for success.
We encourage you to take a few minutes, get informed, and make your voice heard.
